He specializes in the dramatic skies and clouds and seasmoke that often surround lighthouses and lakes. And has made stunning photographs of the famouse Little White Church in Eaton, N.H. He has taken 20,000 photographs from Portland Head LIght,Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and many images of the sky and stormy seas at Nubble LIght Lighthouse, York Beach, Maine

Donald's images have been seen and collected in more than thirty shows in New England.

His Images have been awarded first prize at the Portland Head Light Fort Williams Art Show and two first prizes at the Bangor Flower Show. One of his many flower images was the poster image chosen by the 2008 Portland Flower Show as well.

Donald is also the Founder and President Emeritus of the prestigious Children's Discovery Museum and The Science Discovery Museums in Acton, Massachusetts.
